Absolutely love the creativity of  Sketch Post Studio.

Recently SearchGuru was part of another remarkable event in Malaysia, TEDxKL.TEDx is a non-profit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading.

Some of the more outstanding speakers were Dr. George Lee a Consultant Urologist, Dr. Angelica Lim, a Robotics Scientist, Professor Balbir Singh a Malaria Detective, Fabien Bouhier, Quantum Physics Enthusiasts, Ann Khoo a Fair Workplace Advocate, Kenn Ross, Managing Director of Minerva Schools and special performances by Dose Two, a Rap Duo, Dennis Lau, a Violin Virtuoso and Piano Prodigy Magdeline Ho.

The event kick started at about 7.45 a.m. with breakfast and registration. There were about 3,500 people present that day. Held in one of the biggest churches in South East Asia, The Calvary Convention Center in Bukit Jalil, I would say that it was the best place for an event such as this.

My favorite speaker of the day was non other than Dr. Angelica Lim, a Robotics Scientist who managed to eliminate the fear of robots by creating one that mirrors the emotions of humans. According to Angelica, this is by far one of the most difficult challenges of creating a robot that is efficient and yet able to sympathize with human emotions.

I think Dr. Angela did a good job explaining why emotions were an important element to have programmed in a robot.

I also enjoyed Madeline’s Ho’s performance after the tea break. She was remarkably talented and absolutely adorable. She is not only gifted with her ability to play the piano, but also the ability to diversify and create impromptu musical comebacks.

The event ended close to 6 p.m. with a networking session and dinner afterwards. Was truly a remarkable event and was great to hear the creative ideas of the people around us.
